Exciting new proposal: Nursery provision at Christ Church Upper Armley and Manston St James primary schools

91ԭ����Ƶ is excited to share a proposal to open nurseries at two of our Primary schools, helping to meet the growing demand for nursery spaces in our local area. While nearby nurseries provide excellent services, we understand that they’re often fully booked, leaving families facing long waiting lists. Our new nurseries would offer another convenient, high-quality option right within the community, supporting more families to access early years education close to home.

Christ Church Upper Armley: 20 places for children aged 3-4 years old.

Manston St James: 40 places for children aged 3-4 years old.

This proposal is dependent on securing government funding, as well as gathering input from our community during the consultation process. Your feedback is essential to help us move forward with this project and meet the needs of local families.

Benefits of our proposed nurseries

We know that early education plays a critical role in a child's development, setting them up for lifelong learning success. We aim to:

• Alleviate Local Demand: With nursery places in high demand, we aim to provide an accessible, high-quality option for our families.
• Offer Extended hours: Families at Manston St James could benefit from extended nursery hours through our Wraparound Care provision, Merlin's Club, giving added flexibility and continuity in childcare.

• Build Strong Foundations: Our nurseries would reflect the same care, teaching, and high standards that make schools in 91ԭ����Ƶ such special places to learn.

This proposal aligns with the Department of Education’s focus on maximising school facilities for early years education. It’s our mission to create a nurturing, supportive environment that sets a strong foundation for children’s educational journey and complements the excellent early learning settings in our area.
